Support a Clean Election
What Does A Clean Election Mean?
Under the Maine Clean Election Act, participating candidates must show they have grassroots support from voters in our district before they receive public campaign funding.
For legislative candidates like me, that means collecting a number of small, $5 qualifying contributions from registered voters in District 23.
This requirement ensures that candidates funded through this system have real community backing, not just big checks from special interests. That’s why qualifying contributions must be from individuals using their own funds and meet specific verification rules.
Help Me Unlock All the Funds!
We Reached a Major Milestone: I am officially a Clean Elections Candidate!
I am thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible early support, our campaign has officially qualified for the Maine Clean Elections program!
The Final Push: 120 More to Reach the Top
While we have crossed the finish line to qualify, we aren’t done yet. To unlock the maximum level of funding and ensure we have the resources to reach every voter in the district, we need to secure an additional 120 unique qualifying contributions of $5. Reaching this goal allows us to compete at the highest level and ensures our platform is heard far and wide.
How You Can Help:
If you haven't had a chance to support the campaign yet, now is the perfect time to make your $5 contribution go a long way.
-
The Power of $5: A simple $5 contribution is more than just a donation—it’s a "vote of confidence" that helps us unlock thousands in supplemental non-partisan funding.
-
The "One and Done" Rule: If you have already given your $5 qualifying contribution, thank you! Because the program requires unique donors to reach these milestones, the system cannot accept a second $5 gift from the same person.
-
Spread the Word: If you’ve already given, the best way to help today is to share this page with a neighbor or friend in the district who hasn't had the chance to chip in yet.
Together, we are proving that a grassroots, people-powered campaign can win. Let’s get these final 120 contributions across the finish line!
